  1. Oh well Bryn, looks like this project has bitten the dust. Shame. At least the site itself (having been under MoD control for most of its life) will be used to terrible management. Hope someone else takes it on.

  2. It’s Bryn Wayt here again.
I should have checked about the “company” behind this mammoth task before I asked about any of the Management willing to talk to the public here.
The sad fact is, not much is going on at all with the, “Ben Arthur Development Company”.
The history of Directors coming and going does not bode well !

Read between the lines – it will not take long !
What a dreadful shame the place has been left in such a disgraceful mess.
I love Arrochar, but not what’s happened to the “Range” or the grand plans for that hallowed ground.

  3. Having been a visitor to Arrochar for more than 60 years, the “range” was always part and parcel – our last visit was in Oct 2013 and from the deserted ruins till todays date (16 Jan 2014) there’s NO WAY the original plan to get it all up and running as a hotel, never mind a marina, is going to happen by 2015. What is going on? Anybody from the management willing to come out of hiding ?

  4. Is this developement ever actually going to get off the ground. The area badly needs the work this would bring, and speaking as a local resident I would rather be looking at a completed developement than the tip that is there at the moment.

  5. I am very worried after a recent public meeting that the demolition of this site has put the local people at risk due to the asbestos within this site. Having walked around it you can see within the rubble that asbestos is present which leaving the locals at high risk. Can you advise what you are doing re this and what if any action SPEPA have I will also be in contact with them re my concerns.

  6. To whom it may concern! Yes its a great idea to build a good resort, and will hopefully benifit the local community 4 work etc.

But if you are going to employ a demolition company, then why dont you get a company that will do the job correct!

The demolition has been done! But how did the company dispose of the Asbetos? The asbestos is lying amongst the rubble! So when the ruble is due to be moved, the particles of the asbestos is going to spread within a certain radius. And put locals and public at a health rish!
Where is the certificate to state that the demolition company disposed the asbestos in the correct method, these QUESTIONS HAVE TO BE AWNSERED!
